Your trust matters. This pre-launch draft explains the data PairFound expects to use, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Pre-launch draft · requires legal review before launchWho this policy covers
This draft describes how PairFound expects to handle personal data for adult members using the service from Lithuania and across the European Union. The final policy will identify the legal entity responsible for processing before accounts open.
Information we expect to collect
Account information may include your name, email address, selected role, and email-verification status. Profile information may include your skills, location, experience, venture interests, availability, and collaboration preferences.
To operate discovery and communication, PairFound may process profile views, interests, passes, matches, messages, unread messages, blocks, reports, and essential security and device information.
How we expect to use information
We expect to use personal data to create and secure accounts, display profiles, support member-led discovery and matching, enable messaging between mutual matches, provide safety tools, respond to requests, and improve service reliability.
PairFound does not promise identity verification, automated AI matching, or end-to-end encrypted messaging. We do not facilitate investment transactions.
Legal bases
Depending on the purpose, processing may be necessary to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as platform security and abuse prevention, or act on your consent. The final policy will map each purpose to its applicable GDPR legal basis.
Visibility and recipients
Information you add to a member profile is intended to be visible to eligible PairFound members. Messages are visible to conversation participants and may be reviewed when needed to investigate a report, enforce rules, or meet a legal obligation.
We expect to use a limited number of service providers for hosting and essential operations. Any providers, international transfers, and safeguards will be documented before launch. We do not intend to sell personal data.
Retention and security
Data should be kept only for as long as needed for the purposes described, including safety, dispute, and legal requirements. Final retention periods and deletion procedures will be documented before launch.
PairFound plans proportionate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your GDPR rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. You may withdraw consent where consent is used, and you may complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate or another competent supervisory authority.
Identity checks may be required before fulfilling a rights request. The final contact route and request process will be published before accounts open.
Blocking, reports and account controls
Members will be able to block or report others. These actions may limit visibility and communication and may create records needed to protect the community. Account closure, export, and deletion controls will be implemented and documented before the private beta opens.
Future paid subscriptions
PairFound may later offer paid subscriptions. If enabled, payment providers will process payment details under their own notices; PairFound would receive limited billing and subscription information needed to administer access. No checkout or paid activation is currently available.
Changes to this policy
We may update this draft as the product and legal review progress. Material changes to a live policy would be communicated appropriately, and the date above would be updated.
